Haha, everything you are stating is true Tom. This definitely wasn’t one of my better performances, but I’m not really one for making excuses, so I’ll say this – I did my best in the moment.

The reminder that this gave me is that I always need to be conditioned and prepared to play, because I never know when the game vs. MJ is coming. I need to ensure that my best is really my best. It could be a call and a game less than 24 hrs later, like this one was. Either way, I need to be prepared.

Btw, I too would like for MJ to bring back the camp!

It looked like he was getting around you pretty easy. It’s going to be tough to stop someone that quick, but it looks like you were playing pretty flat footed and with you weight back a bit–could be you were tired that day or something, but it might help to play on the balls of your feet a little.

I probably shouldn’t make suggestions, you’ve had tons of instruction by much more qualified people, I just couldn’t help noticing it there.

Good luck, hope you get your game soon. I think we’re around the same age (I’m 36) and I’ve started to notice myself losing a step.

Thanks Jerome! Yeah, without a doubt a tough match-up for me, hahaha! You’re right though, I did learn some new moves and I learn something new every single time I play a different elite level player.

I think my focus over the next couple of months will be working on some moves to create more space, to allow me to get my shot off. Pat and I talked about that after we played. Something I really need to work on.
